Wiltshire Medical Services (WMS) and Aster Living are working in partnership, to provide telecare and response services for people across Wiltshire, 24 hours a day, all year round.

Chippenham based WMS provides the GP out of hours service across Wiltshire, managing medical problems that arise, when your GP surgery is closed.

Devizes-based Aster Living employs care and support staff, that provide a wide range of services across West Berkshire, Devon and Cornwall, Dorset, Hampshire, Somerset and Wiltshire.

In Partnership, they provide telecare alarms, for people within their own homes, so that if they need help in a situation, the alarm can be pressed and the team will automatically know who you are, where you live and who to contact in an emergency.

We also have a range of sensors, that help you stay safe at home, by letting the team know if there is a problem, without you having to do anything.

We can provide regular phone contact to support and reassure you in your home.

Just Checking provides a chart of daily living activity, via the web.

If you are concerned about a person/family member who lives alone, particularly if they are becoming forgetful, Just Checking will give you an insight, on how best to provide support.

With Just Checking you can see when help is needed and when a person is managing independently.

Small wireless sensors are placed in main rooms of the house, to generate a chart of activity as the person goes about their daily life. Logging in will show what they have been doing.

Through the Stroke Association, this is a grant system set up to help stroke survivors, experiencing financial hardship.

The grant is a one-off payment, usually up to £300, and helps to pay towards what is most needed, such as a fridge, a UK holiday, payment for gas/electric bills, clothing, specialist equipment or driving lessons following stroke.

Alternatively, ask for support via your health, social care or other professional contact (i.e occupational therapist, health visitor, Citizen's Advice Bureau), and they will apply on your behalf.
